Application Process

New student online application for the 2017-18 academic year will be available on January 12, 2017 at 2 p.m.

Please read the following guidelines to assist you in completing the online application for admission.

Application guidelines

    1. Gather all required documents listed below.
    2. Click Apply Now button below.
    3. Create an account.
    4. Read all instructions as you fill out application.
    5. Enter all fields in the correct format as noted in examples on the application. Do not use all caps, and please capitalize the first letter of all names.
    6. A check mark above each tab will appear once you have completed all required fields for that section of the application.
    7. In final signature step, if you need to gain access to previous tabs, use the back button (in bottom left corner of screen).
    8. Submit application upon completion.
    9. Required documents must be brought to the STM beginning January 17 - 19 between 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

      NOTE: Applications not completed by midnight on January 19 will be considered late and will lose their priority status.

Required Documents for Freshmen

  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Current wallet sized photo
  • Immunization Record
  • Freshmen Schedule Request Form (Click Course Offering Guide page 8 for honors placement guidelines.)
  • ASP Documentation Form
  • 6th and 7th grade final report cards and discipline records
  • 8th grade mid-term report card and discipline records
  • 6th and 7th grade standardized tests/scores
  • Leap test results (public school students only)
  • Proof of homeschool's accreditation (homeschooled students only)

Carefully consider ALL courses requested prior to submitting the Schedule Request Form. Ordinarily, changes will not be made once the form has been received by STM.

Regarding incoming Freshmen: High school credit earned in an elementary school will be recorded on the high school transcript as pass or fail (P/F). A passing score on the minimum proficiency exam does not necessarily prepare the student for the next level course at STM. A student may be required to repeat a course based on performance in the course.
