St. Thomas More Catholic High School hosted the Louisiana Education Technology Consortium (LETC). The free event was sponsored by Fujitsu America. Administrators, educators, librarians and IT directors from across Louisiana attended sessions focusing on effective technology integration in the K-12 classroom.
Instructors and students from STM, St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge), Catholic High School (Baton rouge), St. Michaels (Baton Rouge), St. Louis Catholic High School (Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish School Systems and Ovey Comeaux High School presented and shared their expertise in instructional technology. Attendees received 5 CLUs for the conference and one lucky educator won a Fujitsu T938 tablet as the grand prize drawing. Fujitsu is committed to offering free professional development for K-12 educators and teamed with STM and St. Joseph's Academy in 2017 to sponsor the first LETC in Baton Rouge.
The conference ended with a Technology Showcase, a fun interactive evening of STEM based activities for students in grades K-12.
