Distinguished Alumni Award

The award recognizes an alum who has demonstrated outstanding ability, leadership, character, heroism, dedication, and patriotism. 

Mission Statement

The St. Thomas More Catholic High School Distinguished Alumni Award exists to ensure that the history and tradition of the school, as well as the contributions of individuals, is celebrated. The purpose is to honor, pay tribute to and perpetuate the memory of those individuals who have made outstanding contributions pertaining to the school's mission of producing, seekers of truth, individuals of character, and God's servant first. 

Criteria:

1. As a student, demonstrated the qualities of our mission:  Seeker of truth, individual of character, and "God's servant first."
2. Has remained connected to their alma mater in some form or fashion.
3. Demonstrated leadership in some aspect to his/her life professional, civic, spiritual, or social on a local, regional, national, or international level.
4. Achieved excellence in his/her professional career - honors, achievements, awards, etc.

Eligibility: 

1. Must be a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School at least five years prior to induction.
2. Must be a citizen in good standing. 
3. Nominations for posthumous awards will be accepted.

Nominations:

1. Must be made by an STM alum, current or former faculty member, an administrator or staff, or current or former parent. 
2. All nominations must be made on an official nomination form, which can be found below.
3. Nominees, if not selected will remain on the nominee list for five years, after that time they must be re-nominated to be considered.
