Impact of Envision More

Envision More makes a difference in student life today and into the future. The addition of ten new classrooms has freed up an area to create our DREAMS Space. Dreams (Design, Research, Engineering, Art, Math, Science) is an acronym encompassing skills we look to develop in our students. Witnessing students' ideas materialize through practical applications of engineering, art, math and science concepts is the goal of DREAMS.

DREAMS goes beyond a typical STEM program, preparing our students for the real world by integrating learning throughout the curriculum, and the spaces incorporate the use of technology in the design and creation process.

Parents and students are reminded that Homebase and Parents 4 Light will be on Monday, October 15 from 6 - 8 pm. Parents 4 Light begins with refreshments and fellowship at 6:00 pm, followed by our guest speakers, Lance and Kat Strother at 6:30 pm. Following the presentation, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed. Parents are invited to join in this beautiful experience of Adoration with our STM Campus Ministry students.

Parents and students are invited to attend Cougar Coffee House on Wednesday, October 17th at 6 pm in the STM café. Admission is $10.00. Coffee and desserts will be served. Members of the Speech and Debate Team begin performing at 6 p.m. We would love our community to see what our team has been working on!

Counseling TidBits

Important information will be mailed home from the Counseling Center this week.  Please expect to receive a letter from your child's grade level counselor, your child's 1st quarter report card, and any other related information pertaining to the grade level.  Please take the time to read through the letter, the report card and any other documents enclosed with the counselor's letter. This would be a great opportunity to sit with your child, review the report card and reflect on goals being met and areas in which there is an opportunity for growth.  Please note the following for report card distribution for the year:

  • 1st quarter: mail out on  October 15, 2018
  • 2nd quarter/Semester 1: mail out on January 11, 2019
  • 3rd quarter: distribute in the classroom on March 22, 2019
  • 4th quarter/end of the year: mail out on May 24, 2019 (underclassmen) and seniors distributed report cards at first graduation practice
