Dear St. Thomas More Community,
We hope this ministry communication finds each family grabbing hold of your faith, digging deep for your strength, and sharing hope with family and friends. This unprecedented time has forced us into a stoppage of the normal life we have always known and into an adapted distancing that has rocked our social lives, disrupted our extra-curricular life, challenged our academic life, and even took away our option of attending Mass and church services.
We all have reason to reflect, to consider what is most important in our lives, to re-evaluate just how valuable our friendships and family are, and to take the opportunity to pray. This has always been the case that when we don't know where to turn, or don't know what to do, our Savior is there waiting for us to entrust the unknown to Him, who loved us through the Cross to Heaven.
Jesus is our strength and refuge. We do not know what tomorrow holds, but His grace is sufficient for today. We do not know what else we will be asked to sacrifice, but we do know that we have a Good Good Father in God who will not give us anything we cannot handle together. We are never alone in this journey of faith. We are never without hope, never unloved, and never without reason to rejoice.
We are in a Lenten journey like never before, and we are called to continue following Jesus to the Cross and into the Resurrection. Perspective matters. Virtue matters. Patience matters. Holiness remains the call and love remains the mission.
We will all get through this together. Pray for each other and rest assured we are praying for you. If Campus Ministry can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out.
