Mandatory Parent Meeting for Incoming Freshmen (Class of 2022)

The final date for the one hour mandatory parent education program, More Involved is March 6.  This meeting, for both parents, is required to register your incoming freshman at St. Thomas More for the 2018 - 2019 school year. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Registration Reminders

Registration for incoming freshmen and new students will be in the STM board room March 5 - 7 from 8 am - 3 pm. Please bring completed enrollment contract to registration. No payments are required at registration. FACTS accounts are required to be set up to complete your registration. Only the demographic account needs to be printed and brought to registration.

Returning Student Registration
The demographic update must be completed by Friday March 9th. Completed enrollment contracts are due in the business office by Friday, March 9th. Contracts can be emailed to Mary Werther at Mary.Werther@stmcougars.net

French Club Sponsors Book Sale for Haiti

The French club is sponsoring a book sale in an effort to fill the library at Respire Haiti Christian School. The sale will be held Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9 during both lunches.  Students may select from pre-purchased books by the French club for $5, $10 or $15.  The sale will continue the following Monday and Tuesday. Please consider adding the purchase of a book to your Lenten penance.

Free Lacrosse Clinic

St. Thomas More Lacrosse in conjunction with ULL Lacrosse will be hosting a free Lacrosse Clinic on Saturday, March 10th, from 9 am - 12 pm at the Cougar Stadium for any middle school boy in 5th - 8th grade. No previous experience or equipment necessary. Just a water bottle and cleats are recommended. Sign up at goo.gl/Somy6T.

Accepting Nominations for Advisory Council

St. Thomas More is blessed with community leaders and parents who give generously of there time and talents in support of our school.  If you or someone you know wants to support STM by serving on the Advisory Council, please submit your nomination today. All members serve a three (3) year term and elected positions must have a child attending STM during their term.  Please note that two (2) elected council seats will become available for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

It's Prom Time!

The junior/senior prom will be held at the UL Student Union Ballroom on April 21 at 8 pm. As you are shopping for your son or daughter's prom attire, please keep the STM guidelines in mind. These guidelines can be found in our student handbook on page 52.  Also, if your child is bringing a date from another school, please make sure the guest knows and follows the same guidelines. Let's make this an exciting, memorable event for all!

College 101

STM is hosting College 101 on Wednesday, March 21 at 6 p.m. in the STM mall.  Admissions representatives from UL Lafayette,  LSU, and South LA Community College will offer informational sessions on admission requirements, housing, and scholarships.  A representative from the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance will offer sessions on TOPS requirements. Dr. Fruge will offer a session on applying to selective colleges.

These sessions are open to 9th - 12th grade students and parents. Click here for more information and be sure to RSVP today!

Year End Tax Statements from FACTS

Parents are able to print a year end summary of all payments processed through FACTS to be used when completing your Louisiana tax return. A printable payment summary is available on the Payments tab. It can be printed for a calendar year or a date range.
