Spiritual Formation

Homebase is a ministry facilitated by our senior campus ministers for all other campus ministers. This night is one of spiritual growth, formation & training, prayer, teamwork, and renewal. There are three Homebase gatherings each semester. Attendance by all Campus Ministers is required. Alumni campus ministry volunteers also help with Homebase.

Ignite is a program led by senior campus ministers to welcome freshmen into the STM family.  These seniors will co-lead small groups of freshmen for weekly-themed meetings on Thursday mornings before school begins at 7 am to 7:30 am beginning in August through April.

The mission of Ignite is to aim for the freshmen is to connect to Christ, one another, and to the STM community by providing a space for them to be seen, known, and loved in the spirit of our Catholic faith. This is an amazing opportunity for freshmen to find a home in STM, meet other students, connect with senior campus ministers, connect with Campus Ministry, and ultimately grow in their faith through Christ Jesus! 

Lumen, which is Latin for  “light,”  is a program led by senior campus ministers to foster community and faith-life with sophomores.  These meetings are weekly-themed meetings focus on the fruits of the Spirit. They are held Thursdays during lunch, beginning in September through April. 

The mission of Lumen is to radiate Christ light  so that students have a sense of belonging and encouragement to journey in the light of Christ with others.  These weekly meetings at lunch offer a place for students to connect, foster relationships, and engage in discussions about faith, and create a community centered around the “Light of Christ.”   

Light Retreat was created for St. Thomas More’s Campus Ministry Juniors to coordinate, plan and help conduct retreats for our feeder school junior high students. In these retreats, students are encouraged to be open to God and his word and lead the retreatants to God by example.
